The focus of this course is on the making of pottery utilizing hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, paddling, and slab construction. Techniques of decoration are explored with the application of colored slips, and then burnishing the surface with a stone. A low fire bisque firing (cone 017) will take place followed by a two-day sawdust firing.
