Nelson Leon's Traditional Service Business is Open!

Hello All,

Here is Se’wó:sèltel - Nelson Leon’s Artist Statement.  You will see images of him carving and making drums this summer at the Klahowya Village, Stanley Park, Vancouver, where he, and other Sts’ailes artisans and Sts’ailes businesses and community were showcased to the world.

“The Klahowya Village in Stanley Park ran from July 1, 2010 through September 12, 2010. The Klahowya Village was a cultural visitor experience that merged traditional artisan village elements with contemporary Aboriginal experiences and authentic art, culture and traditions. Klahowya Village programming includes a themed mini train experience, cultural dance performances, Aboriginal cuisine, plus many activities for the family.  More than 160,000 visitors came through the Village from July 1 to September 12, a number that exceeded the expectations of organizers from the Aboriginal Tourism Association of British Columbia (AtBC).” www.aboriginalbc.com

Stay tuned for announcements of new upcoming artisan showcases!
