Come on out to the WHL Chilliwack Bruins First Nation Night Saturday October 2nd, with 89.5 The Hawk FM Concert Stage special guest INEZ.

This is a fundraiser for the Sts’ailes Youth Recreation Programs, bring your drum and cheer on the Bruins.

Puck Drop with Stan Green, creator of the Bruin’s Stó:lō Bear Logo, Sasquatch Tours Dancers and other Stó:lō Youth Singers at Intermission, and a First Nation Art Market.

Artist Tables require either selling or purchasing 10 tickets.  Maximum artisan tables available: 10, includes Table and 2 chairs.

Area:               From Port Mann Bridge to Sawmill Creek (Sub areas 3 to 11 consecutively)

Set Nets:

1.      7 pm, Wednesday, August 18th, 2010 to 2 pm, Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Drift Nets:

1        6am, Thursday, August 19th to 2 pm, Thursday, August 19th, 2010.

The Harrison River Sockeye Economic Opportunities will continue on Thursday night (August 19th) with the schedule that was for tonight (August 18th).

Please let the monitors know at Scowlitz, Chehalis beach and Chehalis main (at Jimbutt’s) where your fish are from Fraser or Harrison River.

One of Canada's top ceramic artists, her work is represented in major museums across Canada, as well as in international collections.
3 Day workshop – August 27 – 29, 2010 For all levels Enrollment limit 15 participants Location: Sasquatch Crossing Eco Lodge, 15500 Morris Valley Rd. Harrison Mills, BC. Price: (includes 3 day workshop; accommodation; reception; breakfast; lunch on both days and dinner Saturday). The focus of this course is on the making of pottery utilizing hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, paddling, and slab construction. Techniques of decoration are explored with the application of colored slips, and then burnishing the surface with a stone. A low fire bisque firing (cone 017) will take place followed by a two-day sawdust firing.
